Geoparks.it is a web site maintained by the Geotourism Association in Italy.

The Geotourism Association  is a non-profit group that wants to know and understand the beauty of the planet through travel and contact with nature. 

The Geotourism Association is made by a group of geologists and naturalists and passionated for geology who, through their experiences in scientific expeditions, hiking and travels, brings people in travels to places where the geology and natural phenomena are meaningfull. These places, besides being interesting from a scientific perspective, are often considered the most beautiful places on the planet.
